For eleven years, we have been working to make RIOgaleão a relevant part of the journey od millions of passangers and of the economic development of Rio de Janeiro. Since we took over the airport, in August 2014, we have celebrated milestones, historical events, and results. We offer passengers a unique experience, guaranteeing comfort, safety, and innovation.

We develired a very successful operation, where every action was planned to be memorable for people who arrived and departed here.
Arrival of the vaccine, during the pandemic
Our cargo terminal was the gateway for the cure of Covid-19.

In addition to the reinforced operations to meet the large flow of passengers, we also had special actions for visitors to fall into the rythm as soon as they set foot in Rio de Janeiro.
Concerts
They began here! RIOgaleão's Cargo Terminal receives the structures and equipment used at the performances of various artists!
Madonna's Concert
Madonna's concert, for example, required a special operation. In addition to receiving more than 200 tons of equipment, RIOgaleão looked just like the queen. Everything to deliver unique experiences to our passengers, which will be treasured memories.

We were part of the resumption of motor racing in Rio.
Rio Marathon
We were present at the marathon, welcoming more than 80% of participants who do not live in Rio de Janeiro.
WSL (World Surf League)
We are sponsors of the WSL and welcome surfers and surfing aficionados who come in for the phase held in Rio de Janeiro. In 2024, we prepared a special action. We took four members of the "Vivendo um Sonho Surf" project to a unique experience, with backstage passes, access to the event's VIP area, and even the opportunity to meet their favorite athletes.

In 11 years, we achieved high scores in ANAC's service quality factor and, today, are among the top 3 best airports in the country in terms of quality of the services provided.
We are the first airport in Brazil to launch a digital service and e-commerce platform to support passengers with their travel plans. GaleON was created to bring comfort, savings, and a lot more convenience to those who fly via RIOgaleão.
We were the first Brazilian airport to bring a low-cost airline. Today, we are the airport with the largest low-cost network in the country, with more than 40% of operations.
We are the only airport with a maintenance center for United Airlines' aircrafts outside of the USA, located in an area with more than 60 thousand m².

We care for inclusion
We offer, free of charge, noise reduction earmuffs for passengers with auditory hypersensitivity or Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), for their use during their stay at the airport. Check out all of RIOgaleão's accessibility initiatives.
Spotter Day
We have a special moment for aviation lovers. Participants have the opportunity to photograph different aircrafts, from commercial to military.
Art Exhibits
We are great supporters of the arts. Through our halls, there have been exhibits including the series "A Origem", by visual artist @betogatti, and the Jaguar Parade.
